Genre BDSM LGBT Contemporary Menage

Austin and Jay want a dom in their lives, but not a third person in their bed. When their dom moves away, replacing him turns out to be trickier than they’d thought and the two of them are getting desperate. Enter Liam, a friend of their former dom, deliciously sexy and stern, ready to spank them into shape -- and he's straight.

It’s all going so well, but can Liam separate his growing attraction to his two young subs from what they do during their sessions? And can Austin and Jay handle the discovery that Liam means more to them than he was ever supposed to?

With Austin’s younger sister April ready to do anything she can to make life difficult for the three men, is it going to be possible for Austin and Jay to prove to Liam that there’s room in their life -- and their bed -- for him?

PROS:
- A lot of books with 3 main guys (and even some books with only 2 main guys) don’t do a great job of differentiating between the characters, really creating separate personalities for them. Particularly in BDSM stories, when you’ve got two subs or two Doms, the two who are in the same role often appear very similar personality-wise. That’s not the case here; the three men are distinct, and I felt like each was necessary to form a leg of the triangle.
- There always comes a time in stories about triads when the men start to spend time together in couples and not all together. When that happens here, it’s in the context of a BDSM scene, and it doesn’t turn out terribly well. That said, I was glad that the two participating partners didn’t try to hide what had happened from the other, and that it didn’t cause any significant issues between the already-established couple of Austin and Jay. It’s like they’re all adults or something.
- I liked that Austin is confident enough to talk to Liam as an equal when they’re going through a rough patch, but that he still knows when the D/s dynamic should be observed. Austin’s no doormat.

CONS:
- Liam is frustrating sometimes. I understand Doms feeling out of their depth, but he does a few things that are truly hurtful to the other two.
- I utterly loathed Austin’s sister. Couldn’t find anything redeeming about her. I get that stories gotta have villains, but wow. It frustrated the nuts out of me that he kept forgiving her and going out of his way to get her out of the messes she got herself into.

Overall comments: I liked this overall, but the situation with Austin’s sister really kind of spoiled the book for me a little bit. His dealings with her do provide a situation in which Liam can step in and act the white knight, but I suppose I felt like too much attention was devoted to April’s horridness.

This book was pick for me in a ménage challenge. This book took awhile for me to get into because of the whole two subs in a relationship together and the fact that I was reading a series at the same time. Austin and Jay lost their Dom he moved to another state they tried to play on their own it didn't work they found someone else that didn't work. This frustration leads them to a new Dom Liam who was friends with their old Dom who set up the introduction to them and he happens to be straight. The dominant within the story is well-developed and actually undergoes more emotional evolution than the subs. So many stories in the D/s format are cookie-cutter and trite but not this one offers a fresh look at the emotional lives of its characters. He was able to give the boys just what they needed, and as things progressed, Liam received the same. Although this is not my first time reading about ménage and BDSM I found this one interesting because of the fact that the Dom didn't use a lot of fancy equipment. I really liked the way this relationship developed between the three of them without taking away from Jay and Austin's established relationship. I really enjoyed the story.
This is a wonderful & wonderfully kinky book. The scenario us just so believable too. I would love to meet up with Liam, Austin & Jay for a coffee. I want to help build the dioramas & cuddle with Austin. They were all just so 'real' given the word-smithing of the author. Don't think that the characters were too perfect tho'. Jane gave them very human frailties which just added depth to a wonderful read. Can I just add, Jane has some seriously twisted kink in her psych. The BDSM scenes were so fresh & original. Not a St. Andrew's cross or spanking bench in sight but poor old Jay & Austin were tortured in wonderful ways. I would probably class this as moderate BDSM...no sugar-kink here but nothing too heavy either. I have read this book twice now & will read it many more times too. Highly recommended for lovers of gay-for-you, ménage, M/M romance/erotica and lovers of kinky duckery. Just wonderful.

This was so completely different than any BDSM I've ever read. I do enjoy ménage stories. I've only read similar books with two Doms and one sub. This was also so very different because Liam was supposedly straight. I know it happens but I'd never read anything with a straight Dom who would be comfortable in what is essentially a sexual situation with men. The other difference was that there was no club, no elaborate playroom and no special benches or crosses. The use of mostly ordinary objects to achieve Liam's desired responses from Austin and Jay was unique.

I really liked Liam's character as the older, experienced Dom. Austin was appealing as well, except when it came to April. He enabled her behavior to protect his Mom. When Jay finally confronted her, it made me like his character more. Prior to that, he had seemed more like a little kid, with occasional temper tantrums. Liam's skill with handling their different needs was the catalyst for drawing them together.

I did really enjoy their scenes. I will never think of ginger the same way again! The slow buildup of their attraction and Liam's reasoned acceptance that he was truly bi was so much better than drawn out angst. They did have a time of separation but it just reinforced the genuine feel of a true ménage. I will read the next book, since I need to see how things develop.
